FOR STARTERS
In honor of reaching 500 members (in FIVE months!), we've officially opened the "Painting the World" Contest. See Rules below.

Keep in mind that it may take me a few days to accept your submission or reply to messages about the contest. Life is still hectic, but I'll do my best. I'm the only one accepting content for the contest. It will be judged by me and a friend of mine who is not a member of this group. ALL group members including contributors and co-founders are allowed to enter.

Annnndd now for the part you all are really wanting to see!

THE CONTEST
The theme is "Painting the World." Members will also be able to submit existing paintings, even if they've already been submitted to the group!

"Painting the World" means painting anything in YOUR world. It's open to interpretation! You can paint anything around you! It can be people, landscape, still life, urban, rural! Anything from your world as you see it (which could also include surrealism if you see the world as a surrealist) .

RULES
Deviations MUST MUST MUST meet ALL group rules that are already in place. For the group rules, visit the main page of the group: traditionalpainting.deviantart…

The submission MUST have the medium used listed in the description. If it does not, it will be rejected.

The submission MUST MUST MUST have written somewhere in the description an explanation of HOW it fits into the contest theme.

The submission MUST be a painting medium. For more information, see group rules.

Submissions are limited to ONE (1) submission per person.

Submission Deadline: November 30th.

TO SUBMIT

All deviations that haven't already been submitted to the group should be submitted to the contest folder: traditionalpainting.deviantart…

If you would like to submit a painting that has already been submitted to the group, please feel free to send me (Devynn) a note stating the name of the painting and the group folder that it is in. I will then copy the painting over for you.
